Taco Ring

  • Currently 4/5
Source: Pampered Chef
3/4 Pound Lean Ground Beef
1 Packet Taco Seasoning Mix
1 Cup (4 oz.) Shredded Cheddar Cheese
2 Tablespoons Water
2 Packages (8 oz.) Cresecent Rolls
1 Medium Green Pepper
1 Cup Salsa
3 Cups Lettuce, Shredded
1 Medium Tomato
1/4 Cup Onions, Chopped
1/2 Cup Black Olives, Pitted
8 oz. Sour Cream (Optional)
1. Cook ground beef in large skillet over medium heat 7-9 minutes or until no longer pink; drain.
2. Remove pan from heat.  Stir in taco seasoning mix, cheese and water.
3. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
4. Unroll crescent dough; separate into triangles.
5. Arrange triangles in a circle on a classic round pizza stone with wide ends overlapping in the center and the points toward the outside.
6. There should be a 5 inch diameter in the center.
7. Scoop meat mixture evenly onto widest end of each triangle.  Use all the meat mixture here.  Tuck tips of crecent rolls in up and over meat mixture and under the wide part of the cresent triangle toward the center of the ring. (Filling will not be completely covered.)
8. Bake at 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
9. Use salsa, olives, shredded lettuce, cheese and chopped tomotoes, onions and green pepper for toppings if desired.

If you want to do something fancy, scoop out a green pepper and fill with the salsa and place in the center of the ring when serving.  Add your other toppings just outside the green pepper and all the way around the diameter of the green pepper - so that when each piece is cut you get a taste of the toppings.
10. Enjoy!
DELICIOUS and pretty too!
