Mick's cornbread

2/3 C Yellow corn meal 1/3 C Flour 1 tsp Salt 1/2 tsp Baking soda 1 C Buttermilk 1 Egg 1/8 C Oil 1/8 C Jalapenos, chopped 1/8 C Roasted red peppers, chopped 1. Put the oil in a small cast iron skillet. Place in a cold oven and set it to pre-heat to 450 degrees. 2. Combine all the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl and blend well. 3. Combine the egg, buttermilk, jalapenos and red peppers and stir until blended. 4. Combine all ingredients and add the heated oil. Stir and pour back into the hot skillet. 5. Bake 20 minutes
