Ginger-Pear Waffles

2 c all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground allspice
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1 c pear or apple juice
3/4 C soy milk
1/3 c applesauce
2 tbs corn oil
4 tbs sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 Bosc Pear grated, skin on
1. preheat waffle iron.  Sift together flour, baking powder and soda, salt and spices in large mixing bowl.  In a separate bowl, mi juice, soy milk, applesauce, oil, sugar and vanilla until well combined.  Create a well in the center of the flour mixture and slowly blend the wet ingredients into the dry until combined.   Fold in grated pear.

2. Make waffles according manufacturers directions on your waffle iron.
