Classic Christmas Cookies  
Ingredients
1 1/2 Cups Sugar
1/2 Cup Butter (softened)
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
2 Eggs
2 3/4 Cups Flour
1 Teaspoon Cream of Tartar
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
2 Tablespoon Sugar
 
Directions
1. Heat over to 400 degrees.
2. In large bowl, beat sugar and margarine until light and fluffy.
3. Add vanilla and eggs; blend well.
4. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.
5. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.
6. In small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of sugar and cinnamon.
7. Shape dough into 1-inch balls; roll in sugar cinnamon mixture.
8. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
9. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until set.
10. Immediately remove from cookie sheet.
 
Notes:
This recipe makes 4 dozen cookies
