Smoky Marinated Steak

Ingredients
1 pound T-bon steak at least 1" thick
1 tablespoon liquid smoke flavoring
1 teaspoon salt of Vege-Sal
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 dash pepper
1 teaspoon olive oil
1/8 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 cup water
 
Directions
1. Mix together all ingredients in a large ziplock bag.
2. Put the steak into the bag and seal, pressing out the air.
3. Turn bag once or twice to coat.
4. Put in fridge for a few hours at least (a day won't hurt a bit).
5. Before cooking, put steak onto a plate and drain marinade into a bowl (for basting).
6. Broil very close to a high broiler (for a steak about 1 1/4", six minutes per side).
7. Baste halfway through cooking each side using the reserved marinade.
8. Sauteed mushroom are great on top.
