My version handed down from my mother
Ingredients
1 bag tortilla chips
1 can refried beans
1 1/2 cups chedder cheese, grated
1/4 cup onions, diced
1/4 cup olives, green or black, chopped
1/3 cup salsa
 
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375 F
2. Layout tortilla chips in baking pan
3. Drop small, 1/2 tspn-sized amounts of refried beans evenly over chips
4. Sprinkle onions and olives on top
5. Sprinkle cheese on top
6. Spoon small amounts of salsa in drops evenly over top
7. Bake for 5-10 minutes, until cheese starts to bubble
8. Serve.

Servings: 2
Origin: My mother

Variations:

Try blue tortilla chips, lime tortilla chips, or round tortilla chips.

Try different types of olives.  Green olives stuffed with pimentos are good.
