Traditional Oatmeal Porridge

Oatmeal porridge cooked old-style
Ingredients
water
milk
salt
oats
brown sugar
butter
 
Directions
1. Cook oats according to directions on package, but substituting half the water for milk
2. After oats are cooked, remove from heat and mix in some brown sugar, to taste
3. Spoon into individual bowls
4. Pour milk, to taste, over oats
5. Place a 1 Tbs pat of butter on top of each bowl of porridge
6. Sprinkle with brown sugar
7. Serve and enjoy.
