corn husk stock

idea pulled from the Flavor Bible (p. 138). chef and owner of Paley's Place, Vitaly Paley mentioned making a very basic corn stock, retaining the essence of corn from just the husks! so will have to test this idea out and see how it ends up. should create a buttery sweet stock.
Ingredients
corn husk, sliced into strips
1 medium onion, chopped
water (to barely submerge)
salt (1/2 t per quart of water)
 
Directions
1. gently simmer the husk, onion, water and salt for 1 hour.
 
Notes:
Paley states that adding the cob would change the flavor and something about the husks itself creates the perfect infusion of corn flavor.
