BBQ Pork Sandwiches (Pulled Pork) (Crockpot or Grill)

A year-round family favorite, whether on the grill or in the crockpot...
Ingredients
5-6 lb Pork shoulder blade Boston roast
Rosen round buns
Sauce
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp onion
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp pepper
Dash garlic salt
1/2 cup ketchup
2 Tbsp Worcestershire
2 tsp hot pepper sauce
1 cup bottled BBQ sauce
2/3 cup vinegar
 
Directions
1. Place pork on rack in grill over drip pan filled with water.  Grill covered over low heat for 2 1/2 - 3 hours until tender, basting with sauce every 1/2 hour or so.
2. While meat is grilling, prepare sauce.  Mix all sauce ingredients and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
3. Cool meat slightly.  Shred, and mix with remaining sauce.  Serve on buns.
 
Notes:
Serves:  12

To make in crockpot:  Place pork roast in crockpot - cook on HI 6 hours or LOW 8 hours until meat breaks apart.  Drain juices/fat, then add prepared sauce, stirring to combine.  Cook additional hour on LOW til heated through.

May double sauce recipe for extra sauce to store in refrigerator.
