Grandma Polodna's Best Brownies

These are my Grandma Polodna's delicious chocolate brownies - fabulous !!  The ground nuts and chocolate syrup provide a great texture to the brownie...
Ingredients
Batter
1 stick margarine
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 16-oz can Hershey's chocolate syrup
1 cup flour
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup ground nuts (pecans or walnuts)
Frosting
6 Tbsp margarine
1-1/3 cups sugar
1/3 cup milk
6-ozs semi-sweet chocolate chips
 
Directions
1. Cream margarine and sugar.  Beat in eggs one at a time.  Add chocolate syrup and vanilla, mixing well, then add flour.  Mix well, and then add ground nuts to batter.  Pour into a well-greased 9 x 13"  pan.  Bake at 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes.  Frost while still warm.
2. For frosting, combine margarine, sugar and milk in suacepan over medium heat.  Bring to a boil and cool for one minute, stirring constantly.  Turn off heat and add chocolate chips; stir until melted.  Pour over the baked brownie and cool.  Frosting will harden when cooled.

These brownies freeze well- enjoy.
