Phil's Creamy Vanilla Fudge

Ingredients
2 TBS butter
3 cup sugar
1/4 cup corn syrup
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup light cream
1/2 cup milk
3 TBS peanut butter
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts
 
Directions
1. Combine all ingredients. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it boils. Add peanut butter. (238*)
2. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally to soft ball stage or until small amount forms a soft ball when tested in very cold water. Remove from heat. Add vanilla. Cool to lukewarm (110*). Beat fudge until it begins to thicken and lose its gloss. Fold in nuts. Quickly spread into 8" butter pan. Cool and cut.
