The BEST Homemade Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients:
1 28 (oz.) can petite, diced tomatoes
2 med. garlic cloves, peeled & crushed
3 T extra-virgin olive oil
2 T coarsely chopped fresh basil leaves (about 8 leaves)
1/4 t sugar
1 1/2 t salt
Directions:
1. Heat garlic oil and garlic in saute pan over medium heat until fragrant but not brown, about 2 mins.
2. Stir in tomatoes; simmer until thickened slightly, about 10 m ins. Stir in basil, sugar, and salt; cook, stirring constantly for 1 min.
3. Serve over pasta.
Notes:
Dresses 3/4 lb. pasta
