Kneaders Double Chocolate Peppermint Brownies

I saw this on a local tv show...looks Yummy!
Ingredients:
1/2 C. softened butter, marg. or shortening
2 c. confectioners' sugar
2 drops mint flavoring or to taste
1 drop pink food coloring
1/2 C. semisweet chocolate chips
1/4 C. heavy cream
crushed peppermint (red & white) OPTIONAL
Directions:
1. make your own favorite brownie recipe.
2. add 2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips into brownie mix. Place in a 9x13 pan. Bake as directed. do not overbake.
3. let cool
4. Filling:
in a small bowl, beat the confectioners' sugar, butter and mint flavoring until smooth.

5. add food coloring to make a light pink.
6. spread evenly over cooled brownies and then chill.
7. Chocolate Ganache:
put the chocolate chips and cream into a small bowl.
8. microwave on high for 1 minute stirring every 20-30 seconds until chocolate is melted.
9. do not over heat.
10. Immediately pour over the brownies.
11. decorate with crushed peppermint. (optional)
Notes:
Do not refrigeratem Mixtures will set up on brownies in  about 15-20 minutes.
