Spaghetti Carbonara |
Super Quick, rich and creamy, this dish makes a perfect quick dinner. Serves 4
Ingredients:450g/ 1lb Spaghetti Pinch of salt and black pepper 25g/ 1 oz Butter 225g/ 8oz Smoked ham, diced 3 Eggs, beaten 300ml/ 1/2 Pint Double Cream 50g/ 2oz Grated parmesan cheese 2 tbsp Chopped fresh parsley to garnish. Directions:1. 1. Cook pasta. While pasta is cooking, melt butter in a large pan.
2. Add ham to the pan. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionaly, until slightly brown.
3. Beat together the eggs, cream, salt and pepper untill well belended. Add to pan and cook for 2 minutes, stiring constantly, or untill mixture begins to thicken but not scramble.
4. Add parmesan and cook for a further minute. Drain pasta well and turn into a large, warmed bowl. Pour over sauce and toss well to mix thoroughly. Scatter with chopped fresh parsley to garnish.
