1. Beat bananas until liquid.
2. Beat in eggs; set aside.
3. Cream sugar and shortening until fluffy.
4. Add dry ingredients and banana mixture *and beaten eggs.
5. Stir until smooth.
6. Fold in nuts.
7. Pour into 2 greased loaf pans.
8. Bake at 350°F on lowest rack, for 50 minutes or until done.
