"Butterscotch" Chocolate Chip Brownies

Ingredients
1/4 cup unsalted butter or margarine
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp milk
1 large egg
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup chocolate chips
 
Directions
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.  Coat pan with nonstick spray.
2. Melt butter in saucepan over low heat.  Remove from heat.
3. Stir in sugar, vanilla, milk, and egg.
4. Stir in remaining ingredients.
5. Spread in pan.  Bake about 25 minutes.  Cut into brownies while still warm.
 
Notes:
Makes 12-16 brownies.
