Danya's Original Apple Crumble

One day, I improvised this apple crumble recipe... but it turned out pretty darn good!!
5 apples (peeled, cored, and thinly sliced)
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp flour
1/4 tsp nutmeg
pinch of salt
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup butter, softened
pinch of salt
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2. To make filling, mix apples with remaining filling ingredients until coated.  
3. Spread apples evenly in a 9" pie pan.
4. Mix together crumble ingredients until crumbly (in helps to use your fingers!)
5. Spread over apples, pressing down firmly.
6. Bake for 50 minutes.
Makes 6-8 servings.

Works well with Cortland apples.
