Chocolate Frosting

1/2 cup salted butter, softened
1/4 c unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 c semi sweet chocolate chips, melted
1 1/2 t vanilla
1/2 t slt
3 cups powdered sugar
1/4 c milk
1. In a stand mixer using the paddle attachment or in a large bowl using a hand mixer, beat the butter, cocoa powder, melted chocolate chips, vanilla extract and salt, if suing.  Add the powdered sugar, about 1/2 cup at a time and beat until smooth.  Gradually pour in milk and beat to desired consistency.  Refrigerate any leftovers.
