Cheeseburger Macaroni (OAMC)

Forget Hamburger Helper and all those other box mixes! This recipe is even better, and you know every ingredient that goes into it!
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1/4 cup dry onion soup mix
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 cup nacho cheese sauce
2 cups elbow macaroni or spiral pasta
 
Directions

2. Do not open ground beef.  Set aside.
3. In a small baggie, place the onion soup mix and tomato paste.  Seal securely.  Set aside.
4. In a gallon-size freezer bag, place the cheese sauce.  Seal securely.  Set aside.
5. In a small baggie, place the pasta.  Seal securely.  Set aside.
6. Insert ground beef and all bags into a gallon-size ziploc freezer bag and seal.  With a sharpie marker, label the outside of the bag "Cheeseburger Macaroni".

7. Place in freezer.
8. Cooking Instructions
9. Thaw completely in refrigerator.
10. Heat skillet over medium-high heat.
11. Crumble and then brown ground beef in skillet until done.
12. Drain excess grease.
13. Add onion soup/tomato paste to skillet along with 3 1/2 cups water.  Bring to boil.
14. Add pasta, reduce heat, cover and simmer 8 to 10 minutes or until pasta is tender.
15. Add cheese sauce.  Stir gently to mix.
16. Makes 3 servings.  This recipe can be doubled for 6 servings.
17. Serving suggestions:  Green beans.
 
Notes:
For best results in quality and packaging, expel as much air from the baggies as possible.
