Pesto Pasta Salad

This is my favorite summer pasta salad. It is savory from the pesto and sweet from the addition of the cranberries. This is a great dish to take to a poolside potluck, country picnic, or as a side to your favorite chicken dish at home.
1 cup carrots, shredded
1/2 cup celery, diced
1/2 cup red bell pepper, diced
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
1 cup artichoke hearts, quartered
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup sliced almonds
1/2 cup pesto sauce
4 cups bowtie pasta, cooked, drained, and cooled
1. Gently mix all ingredients together in a large bowl.  Chill before serving to allow flavors to mix and mingle together.
2. Serves 6.  This recipe can easily be halved to make a nice dinner-sized serving for 2 people.
I have used both plain and marinated canned/jarred artichoke hearts.  Both are suitable for this recipe.
