Ingredients
2 lbs. rib-end pork loin or country-style spareribs, cut into servings
Marinade (recipe below)
2 large ripe fresh pears, preferably Bartlett

Directions
1. Put ribs in saucepan and cover with water.  Bring to boil.  Cover and simmer 30 minutes.  Drain.  Put ribs into deep bowl or container.
2. Cover with marinade and refrigerate for about 2 hours, turning once or twice.  Transfer ribs to shallow baking dish or pan, reserving marinade.  Bake at 375° for 30 minutes
3. Meanwhile, peel, core and slice pears.  Add to ribs.  Brush all with the marinade.  Bake 15 minutes longer or until ribs are tender and well browned.
