Chocolate Chocolate-chip Peppermint Cookies

I think the name says it all - Read it slowly.
Ingredients
1/4 Cup Butter, softened
1/4 Cup Shortening
1-1/2 Cups Brown sugar, packed
1/2 Cup Sugar
2 Eggs
1-1/2 teaspoons Vanilla
1-3/4 Cups Flour
1 teaspoon Baking soda
3/4 teaspoon Salt
1/4 Cup Cocoa
3/4 Cup Chocolate Chips
3/4 Cup Crushed Peppermint candy (about 8 large candy canes)
 
Directions
1. Beat butter and shortening at medium speed until creamy.  Gradually add sugars, beating well.  Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating until blended after each addition.  Stir in vanilla.
2. Combine flour, soda, salt and cocoa.  Add to butter mixture, beating until blended.
3. Fold in chocolate morsels and crushed peppermint candy.
4. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls, 3 inches apart, onto lightly greased cookie sheets.
5. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes.  Let cool on baking sheets 1-2 minutes then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
 
Notes:
These cookies spread when baking.  Don't put them too close together!
