Timeless, classic cookie
Ingredients
Cookie Batter
1/2 Cup Shortening
1/2 Cup Butter
1-1/2 Cups Sugar
2 Eggs
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
2-3/4 Cups Flour
2 teaspoons Cream of tartar
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/4 teaspoon Salt
Cinnamon - Sugar Mixture
2 Tablespoons Sugar
2 teaspoons Cinnamon
 
Directions
1. Cream shortening, margarine and sugar.  Add eggs and vanilla and beat well.
2. Mix dry ingredients together; then add to sugar mixture.
3. Make (teaspoon-sized) balls from batter.
4. Roll in Cinnamon - Sugar mixture.
5. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
6. Bake at 400 for 7-10 minutes.
