Courvoisier Current Bread Pudding

Ingredients
Currant Mixture
1 cups currants
1/2 cup Courvoisier
Bread Mixture
12 ounces bread, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
6 ounces butter, melted
Custard
1 3/4 cups cream
1 3/4 cups milk
2/3 cup sugar
4 eggs
1/2 tablespoon salt
 
Directions
1. Soak currants and Courvoisier overnight
2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
3. Toss bread cubes with melted butter
4. Whisk together cream, milk, sugar and eggs to make a custard.
5. Add the current and Courvoisier mixture to custard.
6. Toss this with the bread mixture.
7. Bake in a 9 x 13 baking dish at 350 degrees for 1 hour or small individual dishes for about 15 minutes.
