Traci Downing: Made chili and Sweet Cornbread for dinner tonight. I finally put on my cornbread recipe because I almost lost it. Now I can't lose it again! ha.
Traci Downing: The wind from the hurricanes in the golf is giving me a false sense of "fall" weather, so I made Traci's Apple Crisp
Traci Downing: Made a new cake today for my husband's bday. It was fabulous. I made Sour Cream Chocolate Cake along with Stromboli for dinner. The cake was super moist and delicious!
Traci Downing: Sorry that I've been MIA for 6wks! I took on a heavy duty class this summer that has eaten me up! ha. We did make our Citrus Chicken two days ago but I need to get the recipe uploaded here. It's my favorite dish.
Traci Downing: Made Classy Chicken for dinner last night. This time I didn't forget to add the sour cream! haha
Traci Downing: Having hubby grilling a lot in this summer heat:-) He marinated chicken breasts in Italian dressing and then grilled them. They were incredibly moist and tender. Try it! I also sauteed some squash and zucchini to go with it.
Traci Downing: Does anyone have a really good "ice cream cake" recipe? I was hoping to use real cake in it as well as ice cream. I'd like to make it soon, so the sooner the better! :-) Thanks!!
Traci Downing: Funny how my husband and I have different macaroni and cheese recipes. I just found this one for me to make and made it last night. Super yum and everyone raved about it. Maybe because I topped it with Cheez-its!! Macaroni and Cheese
Traci Downing: I can't believe it's been 6 days since I updated!!! Made Triple Chocolate Fudge Brownies with cheesecake swirled in for my playgroup today. I think they were completely satisfied:-)
Traci Downing: I needed something easy so I spent a total of 5 minutes prepping these French Dip Sandwiches. All that's left is slicing the beef and putting it on the bread:-) We've had them before and the au jus sauce is perfect!
Traci Downing: Made my Triple Chocolate Fudge Brownies and added a cheesecake swirl. I just used 8oz. cream cheese, 1 egg, 1/4 tsp. vanilla and swirled it on the top of the brownie batter.
Traci Downing: Made Classy Chicken tonight for dinner. I didn't have any sour cream and it was still good. :-)
Traci Downing: I gave the family a choice on dinner tonight...they want my Beef Empanadas, again! No problem...I bought the store-bought empanada shells to make my life easier. :-)
Traci Downing: Lemons were on sale...so I made Luscious Lemon Bars for dessert last night. They were delicious.

Traci Downing: Shrimp is on sale, so we're going to grill it and eat it with a salad:-) We still have that cheesecake leftover for zert :-) How about everyone sit down with a drink or a glass of wine tonight and we say a toast to one another.. to a fun, upcoming weekend ahead:-) Our baby turns ONE on Sunday, yea!

Traci Downing: Made Beef Empanadas for dinner. It's been awhile since I made them and thought I would do them again. They really aren't that difficult to make and you can shorten up the time if you buy the pre-made empanada dough at the grocery store (that's what I did tonight)...however, I have made this dough before and it is scrumptious.
Traci Downing: Surprised my daughter and her friends with a Tie Dye Cake for her 13th birthday party yesterday. It was a tie dye party, tons of fun!

Traci Downing: My daughter wanted us to make Chocolate Strawberry Shortcakes for dessert. What a nice twist to a normal Strawberry Shortcake!
Traci Downing: I tried Lois Deblois' Lemon-Garlic Shrimp & Vegetables recipe tonight. It was superb! Traci Downing: Made Old Fashioned Pankcakes for breakfast this morning, Traci's Apple Crisp for dessert, and making Traci's Cinnamon Rolls for breakfast in the morning. We have a guest this weekend, hope he enjoys all the food!
Traci Downing: Another quick and easy meal with marvelous taste! Classy Chicken Serve with pasta, rice, mashed potatoes, or diced-cooked potatoes. The chicken turns out so tender and moist.
Traci Downing: I made Creamy Sausage Linguine for dinner tonight and it only took 20-30 minutes to get to the table! WooHoo! I'm not a slave in my kitchen tonight!
Traci Downing: The weather is beautiful, so we're going to grill Teriyaki Chicken and I'll serve it with my Fried Rice. Perfect fit together!
Traci Downing: Made Peanut butter cup cheesecake last night and will eat it for dessert tonight! So excited, yum! Forget the Cheesecake Factory and their $8 per slice when I can make it at home for less!
Traci Downing: Anyone have a really great tartar sauce recipe? I was just going to do the usual mayo, relish, lemon juice and onion...but thought I would ask if anyone has a different one they like better.
Traci Downing: So, I was going to make Stromboli tonight but I think I'm going to reserve it for tomorrow and have it for leftovers on Thursday:-)
Traci Downing: Class tonight so my hubby is cooking for the kids. I recommended the Chicken Casserole in my bookmarks, for him to make. Sounds nice and easy and delish. I'm sure the kids will like it!

Traci Downing: Sometimes meal-planning for my family of 5 is tedious. I avoided it this week and now I'm a hurtin' unit! I need to come up with something tonight. Any ideas?
Traci Downing: Made my Lemon Bundt Cake for breakfast. I omitted the glaze and it still tastes fantastic. I figured less sugar was better. It was nice and refreshing. I added frozen blueberries (which I froze when they were on sale). Yum!
Traci Downing: So what is everyone cooking for dinner? I made shredded pork, put it in the crockpot with Rootbeer, shredded it and added BBQ sauce and serving with my potato salad. Super easy. The leftovers are tonight.
Traci Downing: I'm looking for a cake frosting that isn't so "powder-sugary"...does anyone have one?

Traci Downing: When making muffins with wheat flour...how much white flour should I add? Is it 2:1? (2 being white....1 being wheat?)
Traci Downing: Just made a Lemon Bundt Cake...I got the recipe from Williams Sonoma. The recipe came with my bundt cake pan and it came out delicious!!! Try it!
Traci Downing: Anyone have some great camping recipes? We're staying in a cabin with a stove...
Eunice : there appears to be something wrong with Member/Updates so i'm just posting my response to your extra pie-crust question here. free-form tarts of any filling? you might have to partially cook the filling a little to reduce the oozing juice that would break the free-form tart. the topping from the recipe following seems like it would be really tasty for your pie crust or perhaps some sort of greek dish with spinach, feta and a drizzle of olive oil: http://wegottaeat.com/ktpupp/recipes/carmelized-onion-apple-bites#comments

Traci Downing: I love the summer with all the fruit in season!! I'm eating my pancakes with strawberries, raspberries and whipped topping...OMG it's so yum!
