Creamy Sausage Linguine

  • Currently 4/5
Creamy sausage with a spicy kick to it (not too spicy).
1.5 lbs Italian sausage links (I used mild)
3/4 cup chopped red pepper
3/4 cup chopped green pepper
1/4 cup chopped onion (use more if you like onion)
dash pepper
dash salt
1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes (or to taste)
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 tsp. fennel seed
3-4 plum tomatoes, chopped
4 Tbsp regular whipping cream
1 pkg linguine noodles
1. Cook the linguine according to the instructions on the box.
2. Over medium heat, cook the sausage, onion, red pepper, and green pepper until the meat is no longer pink and the veggies are translucent. Remove from heat and quickly add the pepper, salt, red pepper flakes, garlic, and fennel seed. Put back onto the heat and cook for 1 minute.
3. Stir in the tomatoes and the whipping cream. Only heat until the mixture is warm and serve over the linguine.
If you don't have the Italian Sausage links, you can always substitute for the Jimmy dean. You can also substitute for other pasta shapes.
