French Dip Sandwiches

You know these awesome sandwiches in restaurants, this is them and you can add to them whatever you want. These are done in a slow cooker and it literally took me 5 minutes to "set it and forget it".
Ingredients
4 lb. bottom round oven roast
1 bottle beer (or can)
1 can beef broth
1 can french onion soup
bread (I use a loaf of french bread)
 
Directions
1. Put the roast in a slow cooker and pour the beer, soup, broth over the top. Cook on low for 7-8 hours.
2. Take the meat out, slice it and place it on the bread. Use the liquid, in the slow cooker, for the dipping sauce. I put the sauce in a ramekin for easy dipping.
3. OPTIONAL: You may toast the bread prior to putting the meat on it. You can also add peppers and/or provolone cheese.
 
Notes:
If using french bread...I will cut it cross-wise, depending on how big you want the sandwich to be, then I will cut it lengthwise.
