Loaded Beef & Bean Nachos

I've been wanting to make these for the longest time and now I know how easy they are to whip up!
Ingredients
1/2 bag Tortilla chips (Tostidos)
1 lbs ground beef
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. cumin
1/2 can black refried beans
1 tomatoes, diced
1-1/2 TBLS jalapenos, chopped
1/2 cups mexi-blend cheese, shredded (and to taste, see notes)
8 oz. Velveeta cheese, sliced
1-2 green onions, chopped
1/2 green pepper, chopped
sour cream, for taste
avocados, sliced (to taste)
salsa (optional)
 
Directions
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a large oven proof dish (or 2), arrange the chips and bake for 5 minutes.
3. Brown the beef, drain fat and add the cumin and chili powder. After mixing, add the refried beans and mash together making sure it is all mixed thoroughly.
4. Manuever all of the Velveeta cheese in between the tortilla chips and on top of it.
5. Crumble the beef and bean mixture over the chips. Then top with tomatoes, jalapenos, green pepper, and sprinkle with the shredded cheese.
6. Bake for 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Pull out and serve immediately with the sour cream, avocado, and salsa.
 
Notes:
I used black refried beans but you could use the traditional refried beans.

For the cheese, you can also use Velveeta, if you choose to. You can also add more cheese if you LOVE cheese.
