Pecan Toffee Crackers

Makes one sleeve of crackers.
1 sleeve Club crackers
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup chopped pecans
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a large cookie sheet with tin foil and cooking spray.
2. Place crackers end-to-end on the prepared cookie sheet and sprinkle the chopped pecans on top.
3. Combine the butter and sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil for two to three minutes.
4. Pour the hot mixture over the crackers and use a spatula to spread it evenly across the pan.
5. Bake for about 12 minutes.
6. Let cool in the pan until they are cool enough to break apart.
This recipe could be made with Ritz crackers, graham crackers or Saltines. The pecans could also be substituted for other types of nuts.
