White Dinner Rolls

Ingredients
1 cup warm water
2 tbsp butter
1 egg
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp dry milk
3 1/4 cup white flour
3 tsp yeast
 
Directions

Bread Machine Instructions:

Add the ingredients in the order given into a bread machine. Set machine cycles to SWEET, DOUGH, LARGE.

The machine will cycle through two cycles of kneading and resting. After the dough is kneaded/risen, separate the dough into

12 balls. Place the balls into a 9"X9" greased pan. Let dough rise for 20 minutes. Then bake rolls 20 minutes at 350°. Brush tops of rolls with butter.

Mixer with Kneading Instructions:

Put warm water, butter, and egg in mixer and blend on low speed.

Add sugar, salt, dry milk and mix until blended. Add yeast and
blend. Add flour and knead for 10 minutes. Turn out dough and
place in greased oven-proof bowl, cover, and set in a warm place* to rise for 40 minutes. Punch down and let rise for 55 minutes.

Punch down, and separate the dough into 12 balls. Place the balls into a 9"X9" greased pan. Let dough rise for 20 minutes. Bake rolls 20 minutes at 350°. Brush tops of rolls with butter.

*Warm place: I turn my oven on the lowest setting for 1-2 minutes and then turn oven off. I cover the bread with a light tea towel and place the bread on the middle rack.
