Goulash (Ric Martin)

2 lbs hamburger
2 onions (diced)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
24 oz diced tomatoes (drained)
1 small can tomato paste
Salt and pepper (to taste)
5 tbsps oregano
24 oz. tomato garlic sauce
3 bay leaves
3 cups water
Small box elbow macaroni noodles
1-1/2 cups cheddar cheese
Freshly grated Parmesan (garnish-optional)
1. Brown ground beef with diced onions and minced garlic.  Drain.
2. Combine diced tomatoes, tomato paste, salt and pepper, oregano, tomato garlic sauce, and 3 bay leaves and add to ground beef mixture.
3. Cook for 20 minutes on low, stirring occasionally.
4. Bring to a soft boil, add 3 cups water and a small box of elbow macaroni noodles.
5. Cook for an additional 20 minutes on a low, soft boil, stirring occasionally - or just until noodles are cooked.
6. Remove from heat and stir in 1-1/2 cups cheddar cheese.
7. Serve in bowls with Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top.
