Southern Firecrackers (Gran's Seasoned Crackers)

2 sleeves Saltine crackers (for one batch-4 sleeves to double)
1 pkt dry Ranch dip mix
2-1/2 cups canola oil
1 tbsp red pepper flakes
1. Pour Saltines into a large Ziplock baggie.
2. Mix together (very well) pkt Ranch dip and oil using large pour measuring cup.
3. Pour half of the liquid into the baggie (reserve the other half to make a second batch).
4. Add red pepper flakes to baggie, seal closed, and gently toss until crackers are thoroughly coated.
5. Spread on cookie sheet to dry - ready to eat!
6. Alternatively, you could also bake crackers at 250 degrees for about 7 minutes, or until they smell good and have started to lightly brown.
