Baked Brie

Try this delicious appetizer at your next party.
1 large wheel Brie cheese
1 sheet puffed pastry (defrost 20 minutes)
1/2 cup apricot preserves
1/4 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 cup sliced almonds
1. Roll out pastry sheet until large enough to surround the Brie wheel.
2. Carefully cut the rind from the Brie wheel (sides, top and bottom).
3. In the center of the pastry sheet, spread half the preserves, sugar, and almonds. Place the Brie wheel on top, and then use the remaining preserves, sugar, and almonds on top the the Brie wheel.
4. Fold the pastry sheet over the Brie wheel and seal. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 40 minutes or until puffed and brown.
5. Serve with your favorite crackers.
Yields: 1 large appetizer for 10 - 12.
