Matriarchy: Did it work? Did you put it on high or low, and for how long? I love using my crockpot.

Porter Palmer: Would you believe I don't know how it turned out? I had a plane to catch yesterday morning, so I turned it off and left it to cool. Hubby will put it in Food Saver bags. I cooked it on high for an hour-ish then shifted it to low overnight. It looked and smelled pretty good!

Porter Palmer: is vacationing "up north" Michigan on the boat. We're cooking things over an open fire. Hot dogs and s'mores last night were a hit. There may be steaks in our future today.

Porter Palmer: boiled a frozen "food saver" bag of taco meat tonight. We just got the food saver, so this was my first time reheating something stored. Tacos were great, and cleanup was a cinch. Yay! for the food saver.

Porter Palmer: Dinner Monday was a hit. Most of my Michigan family had never had a low country boil or home made ice cream (I made peach.) A good time was had by all. Now, my kitchen sits dormant. I'm out of state so hubby is probably living off of PB&J :)

Porter Palmer: last night we had cheese tortellini with sauteed fresh veggies (Amish candy onion, zucchini, red pepper, spinach, Amish garlic) with a white creamy cheese sauce (I admit, the sauce was from a package and the tortellinis were the refrigerator kind) Still, the meal was a hit and ready in no time flat!
