Apple & Blackberry Crumble

Easy, delicious, simple.
3 or 4 big apples
30 g butter
150 g caster sugar
80 g blackberries
50 g butter, diced
110 g flour
55 g caster sugar
1. Pre-heat oven to 200°C
Peel, core and slice the apples.  Heat the butter in a large saucepan and add the apples.  Add the sugar, stir till just cooked.  Add the berries and stir very gently.  Spoon into a shallow oval dish (23 cm).
2. Rub the butter into the flour and sugar until crumbly.  Add some powdered almonds for a special extra treat.  Sprinkle over the apple mix and cook for 10 - 30 minutes until light golden brown.
