Treacle Tart

Deeeeeee-licious!!!! Serves 6
175 g shortcrust pastry
6 rounded tbsp golden syrup
1 tsp finely grated lemon rind
4 tbsp fresh white breadcrumbs
1. Preheat oven to 190 C.
Grease a 20 cm plate or shallow pie dish.  Roll the pastry out thinly into a circle and line the dish.  Prick the bottom of the tart all over with a fork.
2. Gently warm the syrup with the lemon rind, mix in the breadcrumbs and pour into the tart case.  Add criss-cross strips of pastry for decoration if you like.  Bake in the centre of the oven about 30 - 35 minutes until the pastry is crisp and golden.
