Irish Whiskey Cake

Yellow cake mix enhanced with pudding, walnuts and whiskey then topped with whiskey glaze

Great St. Paddy's or any day treat. Hearty Irish cake with a rich taste!
18 1/4 ounces (1 package) yellow cake mix
3 ounces (1 package) vanilla instant pudding
1/2 cup ice water
3/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
4 eggs
1/2 cup Irish Whiskey
1/2 cup vegetable oil
Whiskey Glaze:
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup granulated white sugar
1/3 cup water
1/4 cup Irish Whiskey
1. Preheat oven to 325 F. Blend yellow cake mix, pudding mix, ice water, (chopped walnuts optional), eggs, the first measure of Irish Whiskey and the vegetable oil in a large mixing bowl for about three minutes. 
2. Grease a Bundt pan or tube pan. Pour Batter into pan. Bake for 1 hour. Set on rack to cool.

When cool glaze with following mixture.
3. Glaze:
Melt butter in saucepan, stir in sugar and water. Boil for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in second measure of Irish whiskey. Pour over unmolded cake!
Makes 6 Servings
Yields 1 10-inch bundt cake.
