Festive Frozen Mint Pie

  • Currently 4/5
I like to make this pie for Christmas. I know, I know, frozen pie in December? Well, it doesn't seem that weird if you like in Florida!
1 6 oz chocolate crumb crust ( the ready made kind)
1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
2 cups whipped cream topping (Cool-Whip)
red and white swirled peppermint candies, crushed
1. In large bowl, combine the milk and extract.
2. Fold in the whipped topping.
3. Spoon into ready made crust (prepared according to package directions) and cover.
4. Garnish with the crushed peppermint candies.
5. Freeze for about 6 hours or until firm.
There is another version of this recipe that can be enjoyed year round that calls for about 12 drops of green food coloring added in step one. The garnish for this particular pie would be chocolate shavings or drizzled syrup.
