Pasta Chic ("Pasta Cheech")

2 cloves garlic
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 Lg can crushed tomatoes
2 15 oz. Cans Chic Peas (reserve liquid)
3/4 pound Dettelini or other small pasta, cooded and drained
1/2 cup Romano cheese
1. Brown garlic in olive oil over medium heat until golden.  Add tomatoes and bring to boil. Pour in chic peas and their liquid, stir and bring back to boil. Remove garlic cloves and add cooked pasta, stir and simmer 5-10 minutes. Before serving, sprinkle with Romano cheese.
