Japanese Ginger Sesame Pork

  • Currently 4/5
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp fish sauce (optional)
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp garlic
2 tsp white pepper (optional)
6 tbsp cornstarch
1 pkg stew cut pork
1. Put everything but the pork and the cornstarch in 1 gallon ziploc bag. (you can use a bowl but this makes cleanup really easy)
2. Put the stew cut pork into the bag. You can also use regular pork cut up, or even chicken is good. Just cut it up into small 1-2 inch pieces

3. Marinate meat in the bag for 15-20 minutes. You can overnight it but it will make the flavors VERY strong.

4. Heat enough oil in a pan to almost cover the pieces. While you heat the oil, put 6 tbsp of cornstarch into the bag and mix by shaking and mashing until you have a sort of batter on the meat.

5. Put the meat into the oil in a single layer. Cook until a dark golden brown on both sides and meat is done. Lay on a plate with a paper towel to dry.

6. Serve with white rice and (optional) sweet and sour sauce.
